I knew Haley briefly. I have one memory of her, and it's fond.
I was a seventh or eight grader at Eppler, and she was a Freshman. I had dropped all of my things, and out of every body that had walked by, she stopped and helped me. I knew who she was from my sister, and heard that she was popular and quite nice. I've never had someone treat me so nice when I was at that age. She didn't even know who I was, but still, she helped me scoup up all my things, and told me to have a good day.
Her death hits hard particularly to me, because the accident happened right in front of my house. Close enough for my dad to hear it, and call the police.
I, luckily, was at Camp when the tradgedy happened. I don't know if I would have been able to handle it if I were home.
She is such a beautiful and kind creature, but I believe she found her place in this world. God needed her in heaven to make it prettier, and at his will, he took Haley from all of her friends and family.
She is watching down on everyone and smiling when she sees that nearly five years later, her memory is still praised.
God bless the Urbins' and their strength to pull through this tradgedy - May God shine his light on you.
